James Engel

James J. Engel, 60, of Rogers Park passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025. Jimmy was born and raised in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago.

A salt of the earth guy with a big heart. Always willing to help a friend. Loved his family, Chicago, the beaches, dogs and anything outdoors. Most of all, he was a loyal Cubs and Bears fan.

Survived by his daughter Jamie Engel. Beloved son of the late Edward and Suzanne Engel. Brother of Linda (Steve) Bock, John (Erin) Engel, Louise, Ellen (John) Giagiari, Leslie, many nieces and nephews and girlfriend Carolyn Davis. Preceded in death by Julie Engel.
