James Franklin Miller

James Franklin Miller, 41, of Marionette Park, Illinois, passed away in June 2025. Born on August 13, 1982, James was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose warmth, humor, and deep love for his family touched all who knew him.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Sharon Boyd, whom he loved dearly and carried in his heart always.

He is survived by his brothers Hutch Hutcherson, Patrick Miller (sister-in-law Shelby), Philip Boyd (sister-in-law Abigail), and Chad Boyd (sister-in-law Lacie); his sister Kelli Basile; nieces and nephews Lillian, Addison, Victoria, Bella, Brooklyn, Elora, Brentley, Alana, and Havok; great-niece Riyah Hutcherson; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him greatly.

James had a true passion for the city of Chicago—he especially enjoyed riding the train downtown and attending baseball games, soaking in the energy and spirit of the city. He was also a lifelong fan of comic books and movies, often sharing his favorites with those around him.

More than anything, James loved his family. He never missed a chance to check in on loved ones, offer support, or simply share a laugh. His loyalty, kindness, and thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.
