James (Jim) Styczenski, sadly, passed away after a brief illness on October 3, 2026. He was 77. He was the loving son of the late Michael and Cecilia Styczenski. He was also a loving brother and is survived by his siblings: Michael, Thomas, Susan, John and Tina, who all feel he is gone too soon. He was born and lived his entire life in Chicago, IL. He was a proud member of the U.S. Army, serving from August, 1969 to March, 1972. His uniform still hangs in his closet. He was a proud and vociferous Cubs fan watching every game. He enjoyed bowling, Blackjack and Mcdonalds. He was an excellent Scrabble player who generously assisted others with their boards. His Scrabble help with his mother’s post stroke recovery definitely strengthened her language skills. His assistance with her Wii Bowling also helped her recover eye-hand coordination. He will be remembered by his nieces and nephews as a fun uncle. His friends remember him as a good friend who could be counted on. He had a strong sense of play and fun and enjoyed his life.
