James "Jimmy" Michael Kaepplinger

James (Jimmy) Michael Kaepplinger, 61, of Wauconda/Park Ridge, IL. Jimmy passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side June 20,2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jimmy was known for his fierce love of his large family and many friends. He had a long career building homes and working in construction for a company he loved. When not watching sports, being on the golf course and having a few seltzers was a happy place for him. However, his favorite role by far was being a Dad, specifically a girl dad to 2 beautiful daughters and later 2 more. A more proud father would be hard to find. Jimmy’s smiling blue eyes and contagious laughter could light up any room.

He leaves behind his wife Kathy; daughters, Grace and Lilly; stepdaughters, Kallie (Chris) and Kara; brothers, Garry, Pete (Mary), Daniel (Robert); sisters, Nancy and Patricia (John); many cherished nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his Father (Donald), Mother (Grace), Brothers (Martin) and (Michael). He will be missed by many friends and colleagues. He loved large, fought hard and was so full of laughter and life. We were lucky to have you.
