James Pagano

December 29, 1954 — December 29, 2020

James (Jim) Pagano, passed away after a sudden and unexpected illness on his 66th birthday, December 29, 2020. Survivors include his wife Diane (Jaconetty); his 2 daughters, Jamie (Rick) and Julie (Leka), granddaughter Carlie; 2 brothers Daniel and Robert (Pam); 2 nieces Gina (Scott) and Ann (John), nephew Philip Jr. as well as many cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Philip and Darlene; and brother Philip Pagano (Lillian). Jim was a retired union mechanic and could fix just about anything. He was a quiet guy, but was full of wit, knowledge, and humor. Jim enjoyed his classic cars and Harley motorcycle, vacationing and fishing with his family in Wisconsin, and spending time with his friends in the neighborhood. He was a sports fan and enjoyed watching Sunday football, especially the Bears, and the White Sox. Per his request, we will be remembering him and celebrating his life privately as a family. To honor his life and memory, please consider becoming an organ donor, think about happy memories you had with him, and keep him and our family in your thoughts and prayers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. His death was not caused by pancreatic cancer, but this charity is near and dear to our family’s hearts. https://events.lustgarten.org/fundraiser/3087802
