Janet C Eckhardt

Janet C Eckhardt, a loving music teacher at North Park University and Moody Bible Institute, passed away on November 13, 2023, in Chicago. She was born on June 18, 1940, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Janet had a deep passion for music and education. She obtained a Masters Degree in education for music, which equipped her with the knowledge and skills to inspire countless students throughout her career. Janet's dedication to her craft made her an exceptional educator who was beloved by both her colleagues and students alike.

With a warm and nurturing personality, Janet created a harmonious and encouraging environment in her classrooms. Her ability to connect with her students on a personal level fostered not only their musical growth but also their overall development as compassionate individuals. Janet's patience and commitment made her an incredible mentor to aspiring musicians.

Beyond her career, Janet had various interests and hobbies. She found joy in playing and appreciating music outside of the classroom. Janet's love for teaching extended into her personal life as she found joy in sharing her musical talents with others. Her positive attitude had a ripple effect on all who knew her.

Janet will be deeply missed by her surviving family members and friends. She is survived by her children John M Eckhardt (Laura), Susan J Odom , grand children Stephen M Eckhardt, Christopher D Eckhardt, and brother-in-law Eugene Erickson. During this difficult time, they find comfort in the memories of Janet's unwavering love and support.

Janet Eckhardt leaves behind an extraordinary legacy in the field of music education. The impact she made on the lives of countless individuals will continue to resonate for years to come. Her dedication to nurturing talent and fostering a love for music will forever be remembered.
