I spent many years in the Spears’ backyard & trees. I was a friend of Sue’s, but it was always a “cool” thing to have her older sister pay any attention to you at all, but Janet did! She would ask us questions about what recent activities we had been caught at (or escaped from the parents knowledge). She would never throw us under the bus! She would laugh and laugh. I will never forget her hearty laugh! When she moved away and had children, it was a huge event for her to come back to Lawrence Park! Janet’s coming home & bringing the kids!!
I haven’t seen her in many years, but she will live on in that backyard, in my memory & heart. Rest In Peace Janet, you are healed. And have a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie that your Mom lovingly baked, for me.
Love, Robin
