Janina Kamba

Janina “Jenny” Kamba (Burba), 76, of Chicago, was born August  2, 1946, in Germany. She retired as a Real Estate agent and Cook County Elections Department Clerk. She died on May 22, 2023, of complications from Alzheimer’s/dementia.


Jenny is survived by her children, Lisa Hoffman (Mike LoCascio), Brian Kamba (Christopher Rogers), 4 grandchildren, Nicole Craven (Nicholas), David Hoffman, Paige Hoffman, and Madisyn Zuidema, 2 great grandsons, Jameson Craven and Coleson Craven.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Joseph Burba, her sisters, Irene Krull, and Lucy Case, and her eldest daughter, Tracy Kamba.


Jenny’s parents immigrated to America with 3 young daughters.  She raised three children as a single parent and worked very hard to give them everything that she could.  She was an amazing mom, a loyal friend and great person. She had an open door policy in her home, especially on holidays.  Having her family and friends together around the dining table brought her so much joy. She loved trying her luck in Las Vegas, afternoons in the pool with her girlfriends, and playing with her great grandsons.  She always made people around her feel loved. Jenny you will forever be loved and missed.
