Jason Jackson

December 11, 1983 — December 26, 2023

Chicago

Jason Danielle Jackson was born December 11, 1983 to a mother, Glatcie Jackson (who preceded in death) and a father, Morgan Snotgrass (who also preceded in death). He was a sweet young man. Jason has 1 (younger) brother, Vernon and 2 (younger) sisters (Anna and Carrisa). He was in touch with his family and visiting them. After facing some troubles, he was in contact with his sisters, Carrisa and Anna, talking and getting to know the more mature women that they were.

Jason had become a faith member of “First Baptist of Lake Forest” church. His pastor, Rev. Shannon, was someone that Jason was able to confide in and find a kindred soul who was able to support him emotionally and mentally. Jason loved going to church and wrote a lot of poems. Rev. Shannon stated that “Jason was really great with his two autistic sons.” Jason loved the pastor’s sons and would play with them every time he would visit them. Jason was unintentionally funny. Rev. Shannon and Jason loved going out to restaurants, going to visit comic bookstores, and just hanging out and talking. They were friends. Rev. Shannon spoke on how he saw that Jason was longing for love and acceptance. Therefore, Jason believed that moving back home to Chicago would be in his best interest, that way he would be closer to his family that loved him. Jason would talk about reuniting with his brother and sisters so that they can be a closer family and be able to support each other.  He worked at Portillo’s for awhile and his manager, stated “Jason was a hard worker, took his job seriously, always had a smile, could be depended on to give great customer service, and was a very sincere man. Rev. Shannon said that Jason was a man of integrity and never had a bad thing to say about others. Jason would truly be missed and loved by those he worked with and attended church with.

Jason was an extraordinary man who gave his all to others. He went to heaven on December 26, 2023.  He leaves behind his sisters (Anna Jackson, Carrisa Lee), a brother (Vernon Rhines, Jr), grandmother (Charlene Jackson), close cousins (Toccara, Tiffany), two nieces (Kayla, Lauren), nephew (Jakari), a favorite aunt (Tressy) and host of cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends.
