Jimmie Paul Shields

Jimmie Paul Shields, 87, of Chicago's Austin neighborhood and formerly of Minter City in Leflore County, Mississippi, peacefully transitioned at his home January 11, 2023. Beloved husband of Johnnie Mae (née Jones) for 48 years. Loving father of Eddie, Kiesha, Valerie Shields and the late James. Cherished Pawpaw of Jameshiya, Tazinski, Corneshiya, Desmond, Mechelle, Michael, Jamiya, James, Diamond, Jasmine, Garmika and Traymon; great-grandfather of six. Dear brother of the late Jessie Jr., Harvey Lee and Maxine. Fond uncle and friend to many. 

A visitation will be held Saturday, January 21st from 1pm until the time of the  Funeral Service at 2pm at Rising Sun Missionary Baptist Church, 820 N Central Ave, Chicago, IL 60651.
