John D. Beck

John David Beck, age 62, US Army Veteran of Evanston and formerly of Niles, Illinois, passed away on January 15th, 2026. He is survived by his loving sister Martha Beck; cherished nephews Timmothy and Brian; adored nieces Kate, Gail and Baley; devoted longtime companion Stephanie Stas and beloved dog Merlin.

John was preceded in death by his wife Aleksandra; brothers Tom, Don, James, and Lawrence Beck; parents Frank and Donna Beck; and his faithful dog The Late Great Shadow 

John had a big heart and a caretaker of his best friend for 30 years. He was also a talented guitarist, and a big dog lover.

Memorial service to take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL; date and time pending.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options in Schiller Park, Illinois.
