John Joseph Pisano Jr., born on July 18, 1962, in Oak Park, Illinois, was a man who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. The son of John Pisano Sr. and Arlene Pisano, and older brother to Angela Pisano, John lived life with personality, style, and heart.

In his younger years, John proudly served in the Army. He carried himself with confidence and charisma, always taking pride in his appearance. He loved music — especially Ozzy Osbourne and KISS — and often joked that he looked like John Travolta. Whether he was out dancing in his platform shoes and leather jacket or styling his hair just right, John brought energy and individuality everywhere he went.

John played softball for many years in River Grove, where he built friendships and memories that lasted a lifetime. He could be stubborn at times, but beneath that strong personality was a deeply caring man who loved his children immensely. Family meant everything to him, and his love for his kids remained constant throughout his life.

John also faced lifelong struggles with mental illness, a battle he carried quietly for many years. In 2001, at just 39 years old, John went missing. For 24 long years, his family carried unanswered questions while holding onto hope and memories of the man they loved. In 2025, discoveries were finally made that confirmed his passing, bringing long-awaited answers alongside unimaginable grief.

Though his life was marked by hardship and loss, John will be remembered for his spirit, his style, his love of music and dancing, and the deep love he held for his family. He was loved deeply and will be missed by many.

May he finally rest in peace.
