Joseph Brahin

Joseph "Joe" Brahin, 91, of Barrington, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away September 22, 2020. Beloved husband of Judy, nee Skarda, for 27 years. Loving husband of the late Trudy, nee Rad, for 38 years. Cherished father of Jay Brahin and Susan (Wayne) Shapiro along with Marshall (Lisa) Brodien, Jr., the late Anita (Mike) Brazeau, and the late Chrissy Brodien. Adored "Papa Joe" of Nicole Brahin, Max Shapiro, Anna (Matt) Darnell, Michael Brodien, Matthew Brodien, Angela Torrey, Olivia Torrey, Samantha Brodien, Jodi Shapiro, and Nikki (Mike) Lubesnick. Great grandfather of Jack Darnell, Levi Darnell, Dylan Lubesnick, and Ava Lubesnick. Joe is preceded in death by his brother Marvin and parents Carl and Gertrude, nee Doroshow. He started his career as a licensed pharmacist, eventually retiring as an executive in the food industry. He was well traveled, loved history, philosophy and politics and could carry on endless conversations about comedy, cinema, and pop culture along with just about anything else. A snazzy dresser, Joe was also a great dancer, avid skier and always up for a cocktail or a good party well into his later years. Due to current health concerns, services will be private.
