Katherine A. Lawson

Katherine A. Lawson, 73, of Westville, IN, formerly of Michigan City, IN, passed away after a brief illness February 23, 2021. Beloved companion of Cy Voekel for 26 years. Loving mother of LeeAnna (Joseph) Plunk & Katrina Lawson. Cherished grandma of Hannah, Gabrielle & Abigail Plunk, Robert, Shannon & Tiffany Corbett & great-grandmother of Aviana & Vidal III. Dear sister of Laura (Carl) Archer & James (Judy) Meece. Beloved daughter to the late James Sr. & Ina Meece. Fond aunt & friend to many. Katherine was a longtime store manager at Lighthouse Place in Michigan City who loved cooking, sewing and her family. She was a member of Full Gospel Church of Prayer where she enjoyed leading the congregation in singing and was also a Sunday School teacher. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Full Gospel Church 2700 Ohio St., Michigan City, IN 46360 Visitation will be at 4:00pm followed by a Service at 5:00pm.
