Keith Otis

April 12, 1956 — January 14, 2024

Chicago

I am the wind

That is my name

I used to span

From a gentle breeze

Right up to a hurricane

Lately with less to use I hesitate

Now is the time to change my goal

And live less from body and more from soul.

For those of us who knew Keith, the verses he wrote

above are only a scratch on the surface of his creative

output. He was always working on a song, a story, or an

idea. Over the years he came to calling himself a techno-

spiritualist. Contradiction? Maybe, but not if you talked to

Keith. It made perfect sense for him. Keith was

surrounded by close friends when he passed away after a

lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He had a knack for

making friends wherever he went. We all felt a special

connection with him because he let us in to see his soul.

We would like to think he took a little piece of us with him

when he crossed over. He always said he was not

scared of being dead he just didn’t want to go through the

whole dying part. Our friend, the suffering is over, and you

can be at peace. We love you.
