Kennis Ray Haulk Junior, 56 of Chicago Illinois passed away on April 29, 2025 at home.
Visitation and mass will be held on Saturday, June 14th at 10 am at Queen of Angels Church to be immediately followed by inurnment at Rosehill Cemetery.
Born in his beloved Chicago on March 18th 1969, Kenny, a true Gen-Xer, grew up running wild in the streets of the north side, raising cain and avoiding curfew with Mike Rainey, Andy Sippel and Steve Gibbons.
A graduate of Waters Elementary and Gordon Tech High School, Kennis was a life long learner, never losing his curiosity and eagerness to further his appreciation for music, the arts, nature, science, travel and sports.
An over-achiever in the art of peer pressure, Ken delighted in talking people into things and as a result, had a successful career in the field of sales.
Kenny was preceded in death by his cherished mother Victoria.
He is survived by his children, Sarah, Isabella, and Gabriel, as well as his father, Ken Sr.
Kenny was a gem, a true original and absolutely one of a kind. He loved birds and flowers, fighting, theater, and the Chicago Cubs. He was an expert at having fun and squeezing every last drop out of every experience. Happiest when helping someone else, his heart was as big as the SEARS Tower and as pure as the first snow on the shores of Lake Michigan and every bit as sparkly. Kenny was a true blue friend, he was generous to a fault, and a sensitive soul. He loved to laugh, he spoke his mind, he cared deeply. His children were his pride and joy. The world will never be as bright without his light.
Friends and family are invited to attend a brief visitation on Saturday, June 14, at 10 am followed by 10:30 mass at Queen of Angels Church, 2330 W. Sunnyside Avenue, and for a graveside farewell at Rosehill Cemetery, meeting at the office located at 5800 N. Ravenswood at 12:30 pm.
