Kermit Smith

Kermit Smith, born on April 27, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away on July 16, 2025. He was known for his kind spirit and loving nature. Kermit leaves behind a cherished family that includes his sons, Marqus, Bryce(Katie), and Taurean Smith. He was a proud grandfather to Kendal, Arianna, Gabrielle, Emmet, McKenzie, Cameron, and Simone.

Kermit also shared a close bond with his siblings, which include his siblings Gina, Will and Chuck and Tonya. He is survived by his devoted mother, Joan Smith. Kermit was preceded in death by his father, Willie Smith, who will be remembered alongside him.

His presence touched the lives of many, and he will be missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10am until 11am at Blackwell Israel Samuel Church, 3956 S. Langley Road, Chicago, IL 60653
