Kevin Joseph Aykroid

Kevin Joseph Aykroid passed away on August 1, 2026 after a decades long battle with Early Onset Parkinson’s disease. He was born on July 2, 1968, the 8th child of Janet and Thomas Aykroid. Kevin grew up in Glenview and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help School and Glenbrook South High School. After studying at Florida State University, he became the owner of the Lake & Laramie Shell service station in Wilmette.

Kevin will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his mother, Jan, his devoted partner, Marci, his 9 siblings, Maribeth (Bob), Debbie (Charlie), Tom (Mary), Chris (Debbie), Tim (Tami), Mike (Kathy), Jennifer, Brian and Dave (Karen), as well as his 20 nieces and nephews,14 great nieces and nephews, many relatives and friends.

A celebration of Kevin’s life will take place on August 29th at St. Mary Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove, IL. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by mass at 11:00 am
