Latonya Vanetta Hooks, 54, of Chatham, Chicago and formerly of Atlanta, Georgia and Kansas City, Missouri, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, May 5, 2019. Beloved mother of Lakieva Washington and Earnest Washington. Loving grandma, granmaw and "Mudah" of Amaris Green, Alijah Washington and A'Ryan Washington. Dearest daughter of Loretta Scott (the late Donald) Hooks. Cherished sister of Donya Hooks, J'Londa Hooks, Donald II (Jadeda) Hooks Gwendolyn Tolbert and Cassandra (Curtis) Richardson. Special aunt to Donovan Hooks. Fond aunt, niece, cousin and friend to many. Retired government employee for the state of Missouri. A Memorial celebration to be held Wednesday, June 5, 2019.
