Lawrence Gerald Ewing

Lawrence Gerald Ewing, born on May 27, 1952, passed away on March 1, 2026. He was a dedicated professional who served as the Director of Local and State Tax. Larry had a passion for hunting and fishing, spending many enjoyable hours outdoors, embracing the beauty of nature.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria Marie Ewing, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years. He was a proud father to two children, Sarah Elizabeth (Nimeet) Shah and Carl Stuart (Tori Rae) Ewing, and a loving grandfather to his grandchild, Everett Robert Ewing. Larry was also a member of Ducks Unlimited and The Chicago Tax Club, accomplishments he took great pride in throughout his life.

A memorial service will be held on March 7th, 2026, at Moretti's in Barrington, Illinois, starting at 12:00 PM. The family requests that those attending dress very casual, preferably in a sweatshirt or a Hawaiian shirt, which was one of Larry's favorites.
