Lawrence Fundukian, a cherished singer and disc jockey, passed away on August 21, 2024 at the age of 76. Born on July 9, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, Lawrence brought joy and music to the lives of many throughout his vibrant career. Known for his fun-loving personality, he had a unique ability to connect with audiences and create memorable experiences, leaving a lasting imprint on all who encountered his artistry.
Lawrence was a devoted family man, survived by his beloved partner, Beverly Foreman. He took great pride in his role as a father to his daughters, Elizabeth Anne Frydl, Sherri Rosinski, Rachel Fundukian, and his son, Matthew Fundukian. In addition, he was a grandfather to Geoni Rosinski-Tyus, Gioia Rosinski-Tyus, and Lyla Scott.
He was also a loving brother to Leon and the late Richard, Gerald, and Adrian Fundukian.
Lawrence’s legacy will be forever remembered by his family and friends, who will cherish the impact he made through his music, his zest for life, and the warmth of his spirit.
As we reflect on Lawrence's life, we celebrate a joyful soul who enriched the world around him through his talents and his love for others. He will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered for the brightness he brought into our lives.
A memorial service will be held at Knights of Columbus (1400 S. Broad St, Griffith IN 46319) on September 14th at 11am with a lunchon to follow.
