Linda Roberts

Linda Lee Roberts of McHenry, IL formally from Chicago, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 7, 2026 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease at the age of80.

Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Carl and Hannah Schonberg. She was the cherished sister to her older brother Carl (Rosemary) and preceded in death by her loving older brother, Alan (Kathy).

Linda was the loving mother to Cynthia (Brian Joseph), Kathleen (Robert Monson), Jerry (Tracy), and Gina. She was also an adoring grandmother of Amanda (Harry), Kelli, Vincent, Angela (Brett), Emily, Hannah, Ryan, Nikki (John), Brittany, and Brady and a great grandmother to Josephine, Callum, Charlie, Braxton and Gianna. Linda was a lifelong best friend to Carole and Helen.

Linda loved dogs, chocolate, reading mystery novels, music, board games, and backyard BBQ’s but most of all she loved her kids and grandkids. She was the kindest, most giving, and hardest working person that anyone could know. She is a hero in the eyes of her loved ones, always putting others before herself, facing challenges with courage and integrity. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

A private celebration of life will be held on her next birthday.
