In Loving Memory of

Lisa Marie Esquivel

November 28, 1960 – October 28, 2026

Lisa Marie Esquivel, age 65, of Calumet City, Illinois, formerly of Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood, passed away on October 28, 2026.

Lisa was a strong-willed, generous woman whose presence could never go unnoticed. When she walked into a room, she commanded respect. Outspoken, funny, and never one to hold back her thoughts, Lisa had a personality all her own. She was the life of the party, bringing laughter, energy, and an unmistakable presence wherever she went. Those who knew Lisa knew that she always made her thoughts known, and there was never any guessing where she stood.

Above all, Lisa had a tremendous love for her family, especially her grandchildren. She was fiercely protective of them and took great pride in each and every one. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she made sure everyone knew they were HER grandbabies. One of her favorite traditions was taking them to the dollar store, where she would make sure they each left with a little something. Those simple trips, thoughtful gifts, and special moments were just some of the many ways she expressed her love. What may have seemed like small gestures at the time will become lifelong memories that her grandchildren will carry with them.

Lisa dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a longtime nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. Through her profession, she touched many lives, and throughout her journey she built friendships and connections with countless people. She will be remembered as a woman who lived with strength, generosity, and a personality that left a lasting impression.

Lisa is survived by her four loving sons: Randall, Wilbert, Jesse, and Daryl (Katherine), and her 35 cherished grandchildren:

Randall’s children: Amaya, Remy, A’rzelia, Olivia, Ethan, Naomi, Landon, London, Kassidy, Kalani, Zion, Sinai, Serenity, Nisaiah, Randall Jr., Tiliyah, and Alexandrios.

Wilbert’s children: Mariah, Destiny, Malik, Aaliyah, Kierreona, Ka’laya, Amiri, and Dream.

Jesse’s children: Jase, Jessiah, Nayeli, Michael, Mekhi, Destinie, Kalani

Daryl and Katherine’s children: Ilyanie, Lilyana, Anaiah, and Samuel.

She was the dear sister of Bobby and Donna, and was preceded in death by her brother Walter and sister Darryl.

Above all, Lisa believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her family finds comfort in the faith she professed and the hope and promise of eternal life through Christ.

Lisa leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, strength, and compassion that will continue through her children, grandchildren, family, and all those whose lives she touched. Her unmistakable personality, generous heart, and the memories she created will never be forgotten. Though she is no longer physically with us, her love will continue to live on through the generations.

Forever in our hearts. Loved, missed, and always remembered.
