To: Family and Friends of Loeria Ann Rhemm

It is with sadness we inform you of the death of Loeria (also known as Lo or Lorie) Ann Rhemm on June 9, 2024, at the JourneyCare Hospice, Barrington, Illinois. Prior to her entering hospice care on May 3, 2024, she was briefly hospitalized for an acute stroke. She was 91 years old.

Loeria was born in Los Angeles, California, July 9, 1932, to George Ferguson Rhemm and Gladys Edith Clines. She was educated in the Los Angeles primary and secondary school system. She worked as a civilian employee of the Los Angeles Police Department managing 911 calls and dispatching police patrol cars.

In 1977, Loeria became an active member of the Grindelwald Ski Club, in Pasadena, California. For periods of time, she served as vice president of membership and vice president of field activities. She also served with distinction as the “bed lady” who paired up members with hotel room reservations on ski club excursions.

In the early 1990’s, Loeria relocated to Chicago, Illinois and lived in the North Shore community. She managed the office operations of a dental clinic. Loeria enjoyed singing in the choir at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church during the evening mass and would periodically bring refreshments to the after mass social gatherings. She enjoyed the Chicago ambiance, its food and culture.

In June of 2006, Loeria received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Subsequently she attended Willow Creek Community Church, Chicago, a satellite of Willow Creek Community Church, South Barrington, Illinois.

In July 2020, when her ability to ambulate became impaired, Loeria relocated to the Harmony Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Chicago.

Loeria’s brother, George Ferguson Rhemm Jr., preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn three sons, Whitney LeBlanc, Jr. (Bernadette), Alan LeBlanc (Vicky) and Anthony Senior (Angelita). She has six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Loeria was loved by her family and friends and will be sorely missed.

You would honor Loeria with a charitable donation to JourneyCare Hospice, 405 Lake Zurich Rd, Barrington, Illinois 60010.
