Louise Myrtle Sortwell

Louise Myrtle Sortwell, 90, of Arlington Heights formerly Elk Grove Village and Allen Michigan passed away June 20th 2023. Beloved wife of the late Alfred(2018) loving mother of Janet(John) Schnittker and Craig Sortwell. Cherished "grandma Sortwell" of James(Morgan), Andrew and Zachary Schnittker, dear friend to many.

After graduation from high school Louise attended Western Michigan University majoring in physical education and english.  She graduated In 1954 and was married to Alfred Sortwell soon after. She was a teacher at Parker and South Shore high schools in Chicago.

Louise loved sports and was an avid golfer and bowled in the Wednesday Morning ladies league at Elk Grove Bowl. Played volleyball in the Elk Grove ladies league.

Louise was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church where her memorial service will be held on June 24th at 11am, with a visitation an hour prior.
