Manuel “Manny” Morell Jr.

Age 61, of Schaumburg, formerly of Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood.

On September 7, 2025, Manuel “Manny” Morell Jr. was called home to Heaven, where his laughter and songs will now echo among the angels.

Manny was the devoted husband of Erika (Barra), and the proud, loving father of Manuel Morell III, Jessica Leigh Morell, Vanessa Morell, Olivia Nicole Morell, Stephanie Denise Morell, and Esteban Ortega. He was a cherished grandfather, a beloved brother and uncle, and a loyal friend to so many.

Manny’s kindness, humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. His family and friends will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion that will never be forgotten.

He will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered always.

A visitation will be held Saturday, September 13th at Nelson Funeral Home (820 W Talcott Rd. Park Ridge, IL 60068) from 2p-6p.
