Margarita Garcia, 81, of Chicago and formerly of Laredo, TX, went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2020. Beloved mother of Marina Jayagopal, Gracie (Joseph) Red, and David Garcia. Loving grandmother of Shanti Jayagopal, James Barrera, Ana Barrera, Asha Jayagopal, Margie Garcia and Ruby Garcia. Cherished great-grandmother to Emyr Barrera, Chevelle Barrera, Jaliyah Mya Acevedo, Oliver James Martinez, Audrey R Medina and Wren Jayagopal. Fond sister of Roger Martinez, Rosa Rios, and Ruben Martinez. Margarita was laid back and easy going. Margarita worked for the board of education for over 20 years. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Texas. Arrangements entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options of Schiller Park, Illinois.
