Mark Frank

Mark Frank passed away peacefully on October 11, 2026 in RiverForest, IL. Mark was born on February 2, 1931 in Chicago IL to the late Jean and Bert Frank. Mark attended Austin High School, Chicago Teachers’ College and received a Master of Education from Loyola University Chicago, graduating in 1955. He worked in the Chicago Public School system and retired as the Principal of the Brown School. Mark was also a Real Estate Broker and Developer in Oak Park. Mark was an avid supporter of the Boy Scouts of America having achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 1947. Mark Served as Camp Director at Camp Blackhawk at Owasippe Scout Reservation as well as the Camp Director of the Avery-Coonley summer camps in Downers Grove, IL in the 1960’s and early 1970’s. Mark was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Irene Anne Kelly Frank with whom he raised his family. He was also preceded in death by his second wife Irene Loomis Kelly Frank. Mark will be deeply missed by his children Lawrence (Annette), Christine (Gregory), Mark (Constance), Kelly (Michelle) and Natalie (William), 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 7600 W. Lake St. River Forest IL on Saturday, October 24, at 10:00 AM with a celebration of his life to follow.
