It is with profound sense of honor and respect that we announce the passing of Marlon Brando French, a distinguished veteran, a loving family member, and a cherished friend, who departed from this world of December 19, 2023, at the age of 65. Born on March 11, 1958, to George and Ollie Mae French, both of whom preceded him in death, in Chicago, Illinois. 

Marlon Brando French's life was marked by an admirable dedication to service, both to his country and community. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he demonstrated unwavering courage and integrity. After his military service, he began his academic journey, including studies at Prairie State University, Chicago State University, and Dominican University where he earned bachelor's and master's degrees in Business Administration, to reflects his dedication to personal growth and professional development. Marlon continued to contribute to society by working at the Illinois Department of Human Services for over 30 years.  

Marlon's passing leaves a void in the hearts of many. He is fondly remembered by his loving family, including his children Tonique (Terrence Sr.), Mitzi, Kristopher (Megan), and Amanda; grandchildren Tamera, Terrence Jr., Regine, Michael, Jacob, and Zoey; and his siblings Ivory, Gregory, Christopher, Troy (Janice), Jeffrey (Sabrina), Bobbi, Linn, Padgree, and Marchelle (Anthony). A host of nieces, nephews, and long-time friends will also cherish his memory. Marlon's life, although marked by the loss of his brothers Clarence Sr. and George Jr., and sisters Dot Jean and Janice, was filled with love and support of his extensive family.

Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 10am at Fort Sheridan National Cemetery on Vattman Road.
