Marvin McHugh

December 11, 1943 — August 5, 2020

Marvin L. McHugh, 77, Vietnam Army Veteran of Jefferson Park and formerly of Lincoln Park, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2020. Loving brother of Thomas (Carmella), Patricia Zagone, Rosaleen Sannasardo, Marie (Thomas) Stasch, and the late Mary (the late Jack) Brady, Lawrence (Gervaise), Anne (the late Jeremiah) Ryan, and Gerard (Maria). Cherished uncle of twenty-one nieces and nephews and many more great-nieces and nephews. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Marvin’s career included employment with TWA and Chicago Transit Authority. He loved working in his yard and had the ultimate green thumb. Everyone that knew Marvin loved him and felt he was a gift to their lives. He was as devoted to his Christian faith as he was to his family; their company was what he enjoyed most. Marvin was the main caretaker of his mother until her passing in 1988 but always had the support and assistance of eight siblings. He was a reliable, dependable, gentle, kind and loving man. His quiet wit, wisdom, sense of humor and deep loving laugh will never be forgotten. And now we say to him...Good night and God bless you. We love you more than one more day.
