Mary Mallek

Mary Mallek (nee Soper) of McHenry, IL passed away at home in McHenry surrounded by family after losing her battle with cancer. Mary is survived by her husband and travel partner Richard, her children Richard (Jill) Mallek, Jennifer (Scott) Borris, and 3 grandchildren Gage and Rebekah Mallek and Tyler Borris. She leaves behind many extended family members, as well as those who predecease her, all of whom were well loved by her giant and generous heart. Mary enjoyed traveling and seeing the world, and spending time, particularly playing cards, with family, friends, and her animals. Mary is going to be laid to rest next to her mother in Bad Axe, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, Mary has requested that donations be made to a local shelter or animal shelter of your choice.
