Maudie aka Penny Imundo

Penny Imundo, 62, of River West formerly of Wicker Park after an illness passed July 2nd, 2023. Beloved wife of Michael for 43 years. Loving mother of Michael and Elizabeth. Daughter to B.J. and Nancy Williams. Dear sister to Chris,Tricia,Martha,Carolyn,Bobby,Tommy,Joey,Gary, and Eddy. Aunt and good friend to many.

Penny loved her chidren so much. She worked extremely hard on making sure they had what they needed,especially her daughter Elizabeth, who has special needs. Penny was very fortunate to have had some wonderful people helping her to provide the care Elizabeth needed and the chance for her to be in some of the best special needs programs in Chicago. Penny was grateful Elizabeth had terrific teachers and was also grateful for her past and present park district coaches. Penny was especially thankful for Elizabeth"s case managers. Penny felt she owed so much to her son Michael for all the help he provided for her and Elizabeth.

Penny worked many different jobs near home and in downtown Chicago.

Penny was very creative. Enjoyed crafts and was very good at detail painting of ceramics. She was also good at repairing things.

We love and miss her so much.

We will be celebrating Penny's life at The Emerald Isle. 6686 N Northwest Hwy, Chicago Il 60631 between 2:00pm and 8:00pm on Sunday August 20th, 2023. Dress as casual as you like and join us for a drink and some food to wish Penny good bye.
