Maureen E. Diegel

Maureen Elaine Diegel (nee Paroline), of Elk Grove Village and formerly of Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away at the age of 71 on April 22, 2023. She was the loving daughter of the late Paul and Marie (nee LaFrance) Paroline, and she was always proud being the ninth child out of ten and enjoyed being part of a big family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 50 years, Ken; loving daughter Jessica (Aaron) Stangel and son David (Jaclyn) Diegel; cherished grandchildren Ava Stangel, Carly Stangel, Brynn Stangel, Luke Diegel, Emmy Diegel and Grant Diegel; dear brother James (Lynn) Paroline and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Maureen was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

Maureen, also known lovingly as Mo Diegs, truly enjoyed her career as an Administrative Assistant with the Elk Grove Village Fire Department. She would often fill with joy talking about her work day when the crews visited and spent time with her.

The simplest pleasures brought the biggest laughs from Mo. A laugh that won’t be forgotten.

A celebration of her life is being planned for later this year and invitations will follow. In lieu of flowers please consider a charitable contribution to a charity of your choice.
