Maureen Melzer, 69, of Des Plaines, formerly Glenview and Morton Grove, passed away after a longtime illness on April 2, 2024. She was born January 27, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. Maureen was the beloved wife of the late Phillip (2021). Maureen and Phill were married for over 40 years and were the proud parents of Caitlin and Kelly Melzer. They lived happily in the house of their dreams, kindly built by Justin and John. Sister to Marilee (Paul) Perlin, Dennis (Sheila) Doyle, Kathryn Donnowitz and Julie Doyle. Cherished aunt to Rachael, Shelly, Megan, Joe (2023), Patrick, Brian (2018), Casey, Courtney, Annie, Joey, Brendan (2024), Bryant, Jake, Patrick, and Elizabeth. Trusted friend and advocate to many.
