Michael J. Domkoski (1951-2026)
Michael J. Domkoski, age 74, passed away February 16, 2026. Beloved husband of Marzena Domkoski for 25 years. Loving and devoted father of Christopher and Lukasz Domkoski. Dear brother of Rosemary and Jeff (Linda) Domkoski. Cherished uncle of Agata, Laura, Timothy, and proud granduncle of Natalie, who will miss him deeply. Loving brother-in-law to Marzena’s siblings and their families and son-in-law to his mother-in-law. Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Florence and John Domkoski.
Michael proudly served in the United States Navy, a chapter of his life that reflected his sense of commitment, discipline, and service. Following his military service, he built a career in IT and communications, where he was respected for his technical knowledge, reliability, and willingness to help others. He approached both his work and personal life with dedication, integrity, and a quiet strength that earned the admiration of those around him.
Outside of work, Michael found joy in many passions. He enjoyed golf, had a deep appreciation for cars, and especially loved cooking for family and friends. He was widely known for his Thanksgiving dinners, which became cherished family traditions filled with laughter, warmth, and togetherness. Michael’s sharp sense of humor, kindness, and helpful nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a way of making people feel welcome, valued, and at ease, and his presence brought comfort and joy to many.
Above all, Michael was devoted to his family. He took great pride in being a husband, father, brother, uncle, and brother-in-law, and the time spent with loved ones meant the most to him. His generosity, humor, and loving spirit will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
A wake will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 9:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Ferdinand Church, 5900 W. Barry Ave., Chicago, IL 60634. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, 900 N. Wolf Rd., Northlake, IL 60164.
