Michael Forrow was born on May 25, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the second child of six children born to Marguerite Forrow. He graduated from John Marshall High School in Chicago. He was a mild-mannered person, who never said or did anything intentionally to hurt others. He had a passion for music, especially his favorite group the Temptations. He enjoyed singing and would record himself and others at gatherings. He also enjoyed good food, popcorn, watching movies and walking his baby sister, Stephanie, to school.
On January 31, 1981, Michael dedicated his life to the only true God, Jehovah (Ps 83:18). He was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witnesses, six months after his baptism, he became a full-time servant as a regular Pioneer. Michael loved reading the Bible and teaching others of about Jehovah God. During his ministry, he served as a regular Pioneer, Ministerial Servant and Elder in several congregations (Congress Park, Metropolitan and West Town). He remained a faithful servant for over 39 years until he fell asleep in death on July 24, 2020. He is now resting in peace, awaiting the fulfillment of God’s wonderful promise of the resurrection (John 5:28; 29).
Michael was preceded in death by his mother Marguerite and brother Raymond.
Michael is survived by his siblings Beverly (Michael) Hunziker, Jerome Forrow, Francine (Robert) Barnes, Stephanie Tapley; special cousins Jacqueline (Larry) Almon, Karen (Rodney) Glenn, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, spiritual advisor Brother Guiden, and a large spiritual family. He will be missed.
