Michael Aloysius Specialle

December 30, 1993 — August 13, 2020

Michael Aloysius Specialle, 26, Park Ridge Police Officer of Norwood Park, passed away unexpectedly on August 13, 2020. Michael grew up in Norwood Park with his precious Nassau “gang.” Beloved son of Paul and Margaret (nee Tomasik). Loving brother of Victor, Rosie (Jimmy) Greco, and his twin brother, Peter. Cherished 'funcle' of Ava, Jimmy, and Jake. Longtime companion of Samantha Erdmier. Dearest grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. Michael dedicated his life to serving others, both in his personal life and in his profession as a police officer. When a friend or family member needed help, Mike was there. Michael’s thoughtful, kind, fun, loving, genuine spirit is leaving a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Known of as the family favorite, Michael’s sarcastic sense of humor contributed to many family laughs and cherished memories. Mike enjoyed playing full contact monopoly, lovingly teasing his mother with his siblings, buying hilarious Christmas presents for his family, grabbing a drink with his sister or brothers, and lighting off fireworks for the Fourth of July. Michael had a passion for boxing, wrestling, hot wings, watching movies, eating popcorn with milk, playing video games on his PlayStation with friends, playing baseball in the yard, and wrestling with his godson, Jimmy, making food with his niece, Ava, and playing with his baby nephew, Jake. He and Samantha’s dogs, Nala and Huck, already miss him throwing them leftovers and lying with them on the couch watching movies. When Mike laughed, the whole room could feel his happiness. The pain of his absence will be felt at every block party, Fourth of July, Halloween, wedding, birthday, and family celebration. He will be forever missed and eternally loved.
