Michele Sturge

November 9, 1952 — October 24, 2020

Michele Sturge (née Kendzior), of Round Lake Beach and formerly of Chicago's North Side, after a long battle with many illnesses, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the age of 67. Michele was loved dearly by her family. She was the wife of Dwayne Sturge for twenty years and the dear sister of Maureen Kidd. Michele will be survived by her children: Anita Beckett, Jesse Delatorre, Cristina De La Torre, Tricia Delatorre, Victoria Delatorre-Snyder and Joe Delatorre. She also survives through her many Grandchildren: Jazmond Delatorre Lewis, Alex Beckett, Cody Beckett, Jayda Delatorre, Katelynn Rayne Snyder, Scotlyn Crider and Maxx Hamlett. Michele had a wonderful and compassionate heart. Although she was incredibly stubborn, she was stubborn in the best way; she never settled when it came to those she cared about. She persevered through life’s challenges and did her best to provide for her family. She took pride in her children and grandchildren and she wanted nothing more than to see them succeed. She was one of the kindest people out there, and she kept a sharp mind until the end. Michele was also a very artistic person and an avid crafter. She had the prettiest handwriting and everything she owned had her own personal touch put on it, usually in the form of new paint or gemstones. She was known for her creativity, a skill she passed down to her children and grandchildren. She loved knowledge and reading and every day she tried to learn something new. Michele was the matriarch of the family, and her loss will be profoundly felt by all who knew and loved her. Arrangements entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options of Schiller Park, Illinois,
