Mira Frohnmayer

Mira Frohnmayer passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on July 23, 1938, Mira lived a long life that touched many through both personal relationships and professional dedication.

Mira was a retired Voice Professor at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. 

Mira is survived by a loving spouse, Sandy Sweet, and by siblings John Frohnmayer, Lynn Frohnmayer, and Ellen Frohnmayer. She will be remembered with love by her family and by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mira Frohnmayer’s life will be honored in the memories she leaves behind and in the many lives she influenced over the years. She will be deeply missed.

Donations can be made in Mira's name to Fanconi Cancer Foundation and Cognitive and Cardiology research fund at Rush Hospital.
