Molly Jean McDermott

Molly Jean McDermott (nee Carlander), age 53, of Jefferson Park and formerly of the South Side of Chicago, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, April 4, 2020. Loving mother of Emily, Kirsten , Casey and Freja. Beloved daughter of Kent and Marilyn. Cherished sister of Todd Carlander and Jenny (John) Stoica. Longtime companion and former spouse of Michael. Dear aunt, cousin, niece and friend to many. Molly was a passionate writer of non-fiction who also loved photography and playing piano and ukulele. She was an accomplished baker who specialized in oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Molly was a yoga and running enthusiast who often participated in triathlons.
