Myrtle Coachman

Myrtle Coachman was born May 5, 1949 in Fairfield, AL. She was the daughter of the late Eddie and Ethel Coachman.

On October 27, 2022, Myrtle departed this life while at home in Park Forest, IL at the age of 73. 

She attended Westfield High School and graduated in 1967. She also went on to get her associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Prairie State College in 2004. She worked with special needs children of all ages and later retired from SPEED Vocational School in Chicago Heights, IL.

Myrtle enjoyed bowling, stepping, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Her great legacy will forever be cherished by her daughters: Erica Coachman of Park Forest, IL and Jamila Coachman-Whitaker (Anthony) of Park Forest, IL. Three grandchildren: Jamiah, Mariah & Tyler. Sisters: Lynette (Thomas) Bryant, Deloris Posey, Cheryl (Ray) Nored & Regina (Larry) Montgomery. Brothers: Michael Coachman, Larry Coachman, Kenneth (Sherylynne) Coachman & Roderick Coachman. She also has a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, god grandchildren and special friends. 

In addition to her parents, Myrtle was predeceased by three brothers: Marvin Coachman, Tyrone Coachman & Eddie Coachman Jr.
