Nanci Lee Kotowski

Nanci Lee Kotowski, born January 12, 1948, in Worcester, Massachusetts, passed away on November 3, 2026. Over the years, Nanci called West Virginia, Ohio, New York, and Florida home before settling most recently in Lincolnshire, Illinois.

Nanci worked as a nurse and later spent time working in the technology department of a library. She enjoyed photography, shopping, genealogy, and spending time in nature. She especially loved sandhill cranes, which, in her daughter's words, “were her life.” Nanci loved life, her family and friends, and helping others. She was an extremely charitable person who always found ways to give to those around her.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Tony Alonso and Tamar Kotowski; and her grandchildren, Nina, Chris, Sierra, David, and Adrian.

No services will be held, as Nanci will be joining the sandhill cranes she loved so dearly.
