Nancy G. LeBlanc

Nancy G. LeBlanc, passed away June 15, 2026, at the age of 88. Loving mother of Karen (Gary) Kathan, Kathryn (Ronald) Nylec, Peter, and Kristin (Oscar Escobedo). Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Robert, parents, Edwin and Edwina Andersen, brother, Robert Andersen, half-sister, Joyce Ronan Abeyta, and her precious grandson, Robert Nylec. Cherished grandmother of April, Joel, and Michael Kathan, Nicole Nylec, Kimmy (Bill) Solano, Niko LeBlanc, Geah, and Isabel Escobedo. Dear sister of Janice Del Medico (the late Vincent) and Joan (Jeffry) Black. Treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews, as well as many friends and “family,” who fondly referred to her as “Ma.” Nancy was a devoted Chicago Blackhawks fan and season ticket holder, White Sox fan, and enjoyed watching Chicago Sports teams. She was also a world traveler, having gone to 13 countries, and always remarked that German food was her favorite! Nancy also loved to take long car rides to Chicago to revisit memorable places, as well as frequent trips to Wisconsin. She never showed up empty-handed at a party or event without bringing one or more of her signature homemade baked items. Nancy was known for her famous chocolate layer cake, banana bread, and brownies, just to name a few. She was a gentle and sweet person who not only loved her family, but loved Jesus, attending church as often as she was able or watching online. She will be greatly missed!

A Celebration of Life to be held Friday, July 10, 2026, at Irving Park Lutheran Church, 3938 W Belle Plaine Ave, Chicago, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 10:30 am, followed by the service at 10:30 am.
