Nelly Albuja

Nelly Albuja passed away on September 3, 2026, at home. She was born on January 31, 1937 in Armenia, Colombia, and will be remembered as a woman who loved life and found joy in the simple and meaningful things around her.

Nelly loved dancing and truly enjoyed life. She also enjoyed watching the Colombian national soccer team and took pleasure in sharing her enthusiasm with those around her. She often said, “Thank God for music, water and the sun,” a reflection of her grateful spirit and the way she embraced the beauty of everyday life.

She is survived by her daughters, Luz Stella and Ana Milena. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Luis Fernando, Jairo Andres, Victor Manuel, Marcella Andrea, Henry Giovanni, and Niko Alexander, who will carry her memory forward with love. Nelly is also survived by Liba, Ferley, Edy, and Agusto, whose lives were part of her circle of family and friendship.

Nelly will be remembered with love for her warmth, her joy, and the happiness she found in music, family, and the world around her. Her memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
