Nick Vogdanos

January 2, 1926 — September 14, 2021

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of our beloved father, Nick Vogdanos. May his soul Rest in Peace with the Holy Lord of the Light.

Nick was born on January 2, 1926 and was raised on the island of Thasso in Greece. He came to America in the 60’s to establish a new life with his wife, Aspasia.

He and Aspa had four children- 3 sons and a daughter. They moved back and forth to Greece and ultimately settled in Chicago.

Anyone who has ever met Nick will tell you he was extremely witty, funny and would do anything for his family and for those he loved. He was best known for entertaining all of his passengers with his humorous banter while driving his Greek Key taxi all over the city. Everyone loved Nick!

He is preceded in death by two of his sons- Dean and Villy and is survived by his wife Aspa, his son Stergio(Rebecca), daughter Katherine, 5 grandchildren- Alexandros, Alexi(Sandra),Austin, Lillie and Niko, and one great-grandson-Andrei.

He leaves with us with the fondest of memories and he will be greatly missed.

Arrangements entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options of Schiller Park, Illinois.
