Parker E. Landin Jr., age 84, of Wilmette, Illinois passed away peacefully on
March 6, 2022. He was born January 1938 in Williams Bay, Wisconsin, and
nicknamed Jitter because he loved to dance the jitterbug in his crib. Parker
attended Evanston High School where he exceled in several sports such as
track and football. He graduated in 1956 with an athletic scholarship to
Arizona State University.
Parker was a soft-spoken businessman that lived a long and happy life.
Vacationing with his family was one of the highlights of his life. He was
known for his passion for movies and music, especially Elvis. After Parker
retired, he loved to spend his days on a golf course, in the garden or on a
lake fishing.
Parker is preceded in death by his father, Parker E. Landin Sr., his mother, Edith D. Landin (Krause) and his sister, Beverly D. Sweedler (Landin). He is survived by his children, Parker (Sharon), Jeff (Mika), Lisa (Tracey), Stephen (Lisa) and Karen. Parker is also survived by Felicia and Roberta who were like daughters to him. He had 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held in Williams Bay, Wisconsin this spring and will be laid to rest near his father and mother. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
