Patricia Ann Becker

Patricia Ann Becker, 77, of Kansas City, Missouri, unexpectedly passed away July 28, 2023 while visiting family in Chicago.  Pat grew up on a family farm in Fowler, Illinois.  She was the tenth of twelve children and the youngest girl.  Her mother Mildred (Wiewel) passed when she was fourteen years-old, and her father Joseph Neisen passed six years later.  As a young woman, she moved to Kansas City and attended UMKC for college.  During this time, she met her husband, John, when she worked at his family's business.  They were married for 48 years when he passed away in May 2018.  Above all, Pat was a nurturer, regularly putting the needs of others above hers.  She was committed to supporting and taking care of her family.  She had a gift for cooking and baking, loved spending time with her two granddaughters, and volunteered her time at her children’s schools.

Pat will lovingly be remembered by her children Mary Ann (Jordan), Patrick (Lindsay), and David (Julie); cherished granddaughters Addison and Avery; two brothers; and, a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.  Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband John P. Becker, three sisters, and six brothers.

A private service will be held in Chicago.  The family invites friends and family to celebrate her life in Kansas City on Saturday, August 5, from 3-7 pm.  Please email beckerfamily2023@gmail.com for more details.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to:
