Patricia Maycunich, 80, passed away on 9/30/2026, leaving behind a family and circle of friends who loved her deeply.
Patricia was born on March 22, 1946, in Hammond, Indiana, to Eugene and Elizabeth Enright.
Patricia was a loving and caring person who spent much of her life looking out for others. She was a devoted mother to her son, Todd, but her instinct to care for others began much earlier. As a young woman, she selflessly helped care for her younger brothers and sisters, taking on a nurturing role that would remain a defining part of who she was throughout her life.
Nothing made Patricia happier than being with family. She never overlooked a birthday and never missed an opportunity to let the people she loved know she was thinking of them. Her grandchildren, Nolan and Avery, brought her tremendous joy. She was one of their biggest supporters and could always be counted on to cheer them on throughout their childhood activities and milestones.
Patricia treasured time spent with family and friends, whether it was celebrating a special occasion or simply being together. She also enjoyed playing pinochle, scrabble, and delivering hand-written notes.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel Maycunich, as well as her parents, Eugene and Elizabeth Enright.
She is survived by her son, Todd Maycunich; daughter-in-law, Debbie Hassman; grandson, Nolan Maycunich; granddaughter, Avery Maycunich; brother, Tim Enright; and sisters, Laurie Fitzgerald, Jill Enright, and Carole Gassem.
Patricia will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, and the unwavering way she cared for the people in her life. Above all, she will be remembered for the love she had for her family and for always being there when they needed her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration-of-life will be scheduled at a later time.
