Paul W Hosso – February 11, 1951 – June 18, 2026Paul Wayne Hosso, known lovingly as "Paulie" and "Uncle Grumpy," passed away on June 18, 2026, at home in La Grange Park, Illinois, after a courageous battle with liver cancer. He was 75 years old.Paul was born on February 11, 1951, in Berwyn, Illinois. From his early years, he was the kind of person who never met a stranger. With a quick wit and an endless supply of one-liners, Paul had a way of making everyone around him feel like an old friend. He carried that warmth and humor with him through every chapter of his life.Paul dedicated over 50 years to a career in the paper industry, a testament to his incredible work ethic and commitment. He was the kind of man who showed up, did the job right, and earned the respect of everyone he worked alongside. His dedication extended well beyond the workplace and into every relationship he built. He married the love of his life, Nita, and together they shared nearly 52 years of marriage. Their partnership was the foundation of a life filled with love, laughter, and family. Together they raised their daughter, Kate, and built a home where people always felt welcome. When Paul wasn't working, you could usually find him on the golf course, playing various card games with friends, gathered around the television cheering on the Bears, or enjoying the great outdoors during the many years he and his family spent camping. He loved the simple pleasures in life, and he had a gift for making ordinary moments feel special just by being there with his dry humor and big heart.Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Nita; his daughter, Kate; his brother; and his sister. He leaves behind countless friends and extended family members whose lives were brighter because he was in them.May he rest in the peace he so richly deserves.A Celebration of Life is being planned, with details to come. Those who knew and loved Paul are encouraged to stay connected with the family for further information.Thank you to everyone who has been a part of his life over the last 75 years. He was a good husband, a good father, and a good man.
