IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Queen Phalisa Shnell

Reed

Obituary

Queen Phalisa Shnell Reed, born April 11, 1966, concluded her earthly journey on March 13, 2026. She lived a fulfilled life, dedicated to serving others. Throughout her years, Queen Lisa wore many hats, including teacher, nurse, cook, therapist, and childcare provider. These roles, among many others, were a testament to her caring nature and her desire to help those around her.

She was proud of her heritage and as an Original Jew Israelite, she spent many hours deepening her understanding of The Most High God. Her love for learning extended beyond her faith unto music and The Arts, which brought joy and inspiration into her life.

Phalisa was a loving mother to her children: Tiana, Adrian, Kenyatta, and Kendall, preceded in departure by her son in love: Nicholas, and will be missed tremendously by her daughter in love: Taneisha. Madea, as the children affectionately knew her, had a warmth and gave  guidance that also touched the lives of her grandchildren—Von'shay, Nicolette, Charnae, K'miyah, Lil Kendall, Shawn, Corinthian, Ollie Jr, Mary, Genesis, Trey, Andrew, Isaiah, who preceded her in transition, and Nathaniel. She was also cherished by her great-grandchildren, Peyton and Amaris. All will carry forward her Legacy.

Family held an important place in Lisa’s heart. She is survived by her only maternal sibling Lynette and her loving parents, William and Ollie Darke. Their presence remains a source of comfort to all who knew and loved her.

Her life was marked by a commitment to helping others, a deep curiosity about the world, and a relentless determination to make it a better place for us all. Those who knew her will remember her kindness, her authenticity, and her passion for family unity. Queen Phalisa Shnell Reed leaves behind a rich Legacy of Love, Service, and Sacrifice that will be remembered by her family and all who had the privilege to experience her. Selah
